STEM-Festival in Jena
TRIDELTA Campus / Lisa Schäfer • 23.10.2023
The MINT Festival Jena took place from 26th to 28th September 2023 and once again transformed the Ernst-Abbe-Platz campus of Friedrich Schiller University Jena into an inspiring and breathtaking hands-on arena for pupils and students.
Pushing STEM education further
At a time when science and technology play an increasingly important role in our lives, the MINT Festival Jena is a valuable opportunity to get young minds excited and inspired about the STEM disciplines. At our interactive SensorSpace project stand in the exhibition area, we could feel the enthusiasm of the young tinkerers as they controlled colourful flashing Ozobots via dots and lines they had drawn - an example of analogue programming.
A major focus of the Sensor Space is on building electronic components and systems, in addition to the practical offerings in the Maker Space. We have informed young people, parents, guardians and teachers about the diverse offers and courses available as part of the SensorSpace project in Hermsdorf. You can also find current information in the section: "Events in the Sensor Space".
This year's main theme of the MINT Festival Jena was "Energy". Here, very many curious visitors had the opportunity to discover, explore and invent in numerous workshops, hands-on offers, lectures and stage shows. Special thanks go to the moMINTmal team for their commitment and the exciting events they organised. And a big thank you as well to the team , who supported our stand with so much enthusiasm and expertise.
We look forward to being part of this fantastic festival again next time in 2025.
