Construction (Bachelor of Engineering)

Graduates of this field of study can be immediately employed as design engineers with a high level of practice-oriented methodological and social competence as specialists and managers.  In the dual Bachelor's degree programme in design, students are taught comprehensive technical basics from mathematics, statics, machine elements to design systematics as well as knowledge of computer-aided design, calculation and simulation methods (CAE techniques, FEM). Business administration subjects also provide students with a sound understanding of the structures and processes in the company as a whole, as well as a good awareness of costs and the market.

After graduation

Graduates of the design programme have the following main fields of application:

  • Product development and design in the metal and electrical industries
  • Development management and planning, prototyping
  • Technical support for suppliers and customers
