Electrical Engineering / Automation Technology

In the dual bachelor's degree programme in electrical engineering/automation technology, students learn the essential fundamentals of electrical engineering as well as basic mathematical and physical knowledge. At the same time, students acquire knowledge of the fundamentals and application-oriented areas of computer science. The focus of this degree programme is on process automation, whereby the overall functionality of a device, a process or a system is always viewed holistically in connection with factors such as economic efficiency, safety, environmental protection and resource conservation.

After graduation

Graduates of the Electrical Engineering/Automation Technology degree programme can be employed in a wide variety of interdisciplinary sectors. Typical engineering tasks are:

Planning, project planning, realisation, commissioning, support, maintenance and optimisation of electrotechnical and automation systems and processes
Project management in the area of quality assurance and customer support.
