Innovations you can touch: At the latest CAMPUS CAFÉ theme special at TRIDELTA CAMPUS Hermsdorf, everything revolved around a topic with a great future - the inductive charging of electric vehicles and trucks using soft ferrites.

Inductive charging via the road infrastructure: future technology in focus at CAMPUS CAFÉ

Around 50 guests from business, science and politics came together to talk about current developments, new applications and the "InductaInfra" pilot project funded by the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport.

Political support and high-profile guests
The strong political interest was particularly pleasing: State Secretary Mario Suckert from the Thuringian Ministry of Economics, Science and Digital Society as well as representatives from the Thuringian State Parliament - including Mr. Tiesler, Mr. Henkel, Mr. Gottweis - and Ms. Winkelhöfer from the Thuringian Ministry of the Environment - were on site and emphasized how important such technologies are for the mobility transition and Thuringia as a location for innovation.

Technological highlight: roads as charging strips
After the welcome address by Prof. Ingolf Voigt and an overview of electromobility development by Matthes Rupprich, the exciting project presentation was on the agenda: Dr. Otto (Federal Highway Research Institute, BAST) and Mr. Rickwärtz (RWTH Aachen University) showed how roadways can be equipped with modern electronics to inductively charge electric vehicles while driving. Key components for this are supplied by companies such as Tridelta Weichferrite GmbH - a member of TRIDELTA CAMPUS.

Great supra-regional interest
Of particular note: the event also attracted attention far beyond Thuringia. Guests came from the Bavarian E|Road Center in Hallstadt - an important project for inductive charging on roads - as well as university professors from Saxony who are working on the development of high-performance electronic solutions.

Exchange and networking
During the snack afterwards, participants took the opportunity to make contacts and think ahead with ideas for the mobility of tomorrow.

The CAMPUS CAFÉ at TRIDELTA CAMPUS has long since become a permanent fixture: It regularly brings together people who work together on the future - for an innovative, sustainable and networked society.
