Pushing STEM eduacation further

As an integral part of the TRIDELTA CAMPUS Hermsdorf, the Sensor Space has been successfully pursuing the vision of its own "MI(N)Tmach-lab" for children and young people for several years. This unique CAMPUS project combines sensor technology, technical ceramics and a Maker Space to provide an inspiring environment for young tinkerers.

STEM education plays a crucial role in understanding the world and being open to new technologies. That's why our commitment to the TRIDELTA CAMPUS goes far beyond conventional career guidance in Eastern Thuringia. Projects such as the MINT learning location Sensor Space  in Hermsdorf make a significant contribution to highlighting the importance of mathematics, natural sciences, computer science and technology and to getting young people excited about these fields. This on-site enthusiasm is crucial as it encourages the next generation to actively participate in shaping our innovative society and to develop groundbreaking solutions.

The Sensor Space enables children and young people to experience the exciting world of micro-electronics and sensor technology at first hand. This is made possible by the dedicated team of the Tridelta Campus Hermsdorf e.V. and its member companies, who are increasingly committed to training qualified professionals and thus investing directly in local economic performance and competitiveness.

Behind the Sensor Space project at TRIDELTA CAMPUS Hermsdorf have been Gábor Básch since this summer and Ilka Duba since October.
Gábor brings over 20 years of experience in children's and youth work and is an enthusiastic tinkerer. His combination of technical understanding, curiosity and educational background make him our MINT maker and the leader of Sensor Space. Ilka supports Mission MINT as a contact person for schools, partners and interested parties and helps to ensure the smooth running of the project.

By the way: a detailed interview with Gábor is available on the SENSOR SPACE blog.
