The industrial site for technical ceramics, rich in tradition, offers a combination of technology and service companies as well as research facilities such as the Fraunhofer Institute IKTS that is unique in Germany. Here, internationally demanded high-performance ceramics and microelectronics for state-of-the-art applications are produced.
The success concept for this lies in the sustainably grown cooperation between research and production.
Regional and supraregional cooperation for the technology region in Thuringia. Jena and Hermsdorf are not only geographically close to each other. Ceramics and electronics from Hermsdorf complement Jena's technology profile with its focus on optics and photonics. Additive Manufacturing - The TRIDELTA CAMPUS partnership with the Thuringian Center for Additive Technologies
The Thuringian Center for Additive Technologies (THAT) networks the diverse 3D printing competencies, experiences, and offerings of regional companies and public institutions. The aim of this initiative is to facilitate access to additive technologies for Thuringian companies. The basis for this is provided by the extensive technical equipment at the initiators and partners of THAT, with which 3D printing of plastics, metal, glass and ceramics is possible. The youth center Hermsdorf offers Mo-Fr 13:00 - 19:00 o'clock to all between 10 and 27 years room to create, play, have fun and participate. We support various projects of the young people locally in the house and promote the common exchange of young people and enterprises. Before Corona, the TRIDELTA CAMPUS After Work Event took place every 2nd Thursday of the month in the youth center. Currently, preparations are underway to relaunch the event.
